Modern Boy Nursery

Baby BOY is officially here – So I can finally show what we did for his modern boy nursery.  I knew once we knew the gender I wanted a modern boy nursery and something light that wasn’t too ‘babyish’ for his room.  I started the same way I do with most rooms – by picking one or two things to base everything on.  This time it was that baby buffalo print that I HAD to have, and some navy shibori fabric!

The room is not huge, and the nursery furniture is not my first pick for this style room but is what we purchased 5 years ago for Jack, and I have committed to it staying in all our babies rooms haha.

I went with Quick Zip sheets in plain white for his room, and if you haven’t heard of them – run and check them out because they are seriously life changing! I loved how they fit my theme of simple and functional!

  1. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I love that it’s not overly babyish and there are so many special touches throughout the room. I think the furniture looks great too! Congratulations on your sweet new baby!

  2. OH MY GOSH ARIN. I’m obsessed. This is seriously the cutest! I think my favorite parts are the RUG (so many heart eyes), the greenery (like that mobile… Kade would have loooovved something like that!), and the little rocking horse! So many sweet touches with the baskets, and pillows. You can come decorate all my future nurserys please and thanks. xo

  3. I absolutely LOVE this space! Simple and functional is my favorite theme for decorating, and you did an amazing job! I especially love the mobile and the pillow with his name and the bible verse, so dang cute!!

  4. This is so beautiful! I LOVE the light and airy look- and I love how much the greenery adds to the space! I definitely need to get some for my home! Beautiful! ?

    1. Thank you! I have been trying to add more to my home too. It’s amazing how great it makes a space look and I never used to think of adding it!

    1. Congrats on your baby on the way! This crib is from Bassett Furniture, but I’m not sure if they carry it anymore – we purchased it for our son who was born 4.5 years ago

  5. This is so freaking cute! I’m hoping we will be able to get a house before we’re done having kids so I can do a decorate a whole nursery the way I want. It’s a bit hard in a small apartment, especially when you can’t paint!

    1. Oh I totally understand that!! I love how many fun rooms use white walls right now if the walls are white? A perk to that being in!

  6. Stunning nursery! May I ask the paint color? I think we’ve decided to use BM Moonshine but this is so lovely! I was doing bold and dark colors but decided to go light and airy. So much room for changing out colors and decor as needed.

    1. Ashley,

I went with Behr Dolphin Fin. I love that it is a very light grey, but still noticeably grey!! So much fun decorating a nursery!

    1. Hi! I actually got them at Anthropologie, however they don’t seem to carry that exact one anymore. (but do have a million other to die for options…I just checked and fell in love haha)
